"I lift up my eyes" / Salomon Jadassohn project
The focus is on the rediscovery of a great 19th century Jewish composer who directed the synagogue choir in Leipzig and taught at the Leipzig Conservatory: Salomon Jadassohn.
His great highly romantic Sextet op. 100 for two pianists four-handed on one piano and four strings is the main work on the program. Works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Salomone Rossi, Moritz Moszkowski, Camille Saint-Saëns and the grandiose Piano Quintet in F minor by César Franck will also be performed.
