Tour de Portal 2026 - E-Bike-Exkursion

Calling all nature-loving e-bikers!

Our forest educator, Dirk Schroeder, will take you on a tour through the Königsforst and Wahner Heide nature reserves—from one visitor center to the next.

We’ll start the tour in the upper Königsforst at the Steinhaus visitor portal and forest information center, south of the Bergisch Gladbach Technology Park. We’ll head downhill over the Tütberg toward Forsbach to reach the western part of the Königsforst. Accompanied by birdsong and the rustling of leaves in the nature reserve, we’ll visit various points of interest all the way to the Wahner Heide, where our destination—the Leidenhausen Estate—is located.

The route is designed so that we’ll only have to cross two roads with vehicle traffic and will otherwise travel exclusively on well-maintained forest trails.
