Traummaschine Inc.: Die Fabrik der verlorenen Fäden
In the organizer's words:
A hundred years ago, the Kreativquartier—the central venue of the rodeo festival—was home to the lace factory owned by Jewish entrepreneur Rosa Klauber. During the Nazi era, her family was dispossessed and forced to flee. Traummaschine Inc. brings the repressed history of the lace factory back to life—not as a monument, but as an immersive narrative featuring music and handicrafts.
The participatory piece*The Factory of Lost Threads* takespeople ages 8 and up on a journey through Rosa Klauber’s life: amid swaths of fabric and whispers from the past, through a world of ghosts, faded patterns, and the sounds of machines. Past and present intertwine to form a living theater of memory, in which Rosa Klauber’s legacy lives on.
The research is based on the exhibition*Spitzenhaus Rosa Klauber*at the Jewish Museum Munich.
In addition to the performances, visitors can also experience Rosa Klauber’s story around the PATHOS as a digital narrative in the form of a QR walk using their own cell phones.
