Paul no longer loves his girlfriend Sophie. The problem: he just can't bring himself to break up with her. The fear of tears, reproaches and an ugly scene is too great. So Paul resorts to a plan that is as cowardly as it is ingenious: his best friend Martin is to move in with them for a week - in the hope that Sophie won't be able to cope with the situation and will leave of her own accord.
What begins as a seemingly harmless idea quickly develops into an emotional minefield. Between embarrassing everyday moments, escalating conversations and ever new justifications, everyone involved reaches their limits. While Paul continues to avoid the truth, Martin desperately tries to bring order to the chaos - and Sophie senses very clearly that something is very wrong here.
The longer their involuntary cohabitation lasts, the clearer it becomes: Feelings can't be organized away, and conflicts don't disappear just because you leave them to others ...
