In the organizer's words:
For her commissioned work in the Terrassensaal at the Haus der Kunst, London-based harpist and composer Miriam Adefris transforms the space into a sonic experience that balances expansiveness and intimacy. She combines the analog sound of the harp with electronic sound processing and explores how contrasting states evoke similar emotions within us, ranging from vulnerability to sublimity. Adefris has collaborated with Floating Points, Ganavya, and Shabaka Hutchings, among others.
