FINALLY UFERLOS FESTIVAL AGAIN - CELEBRATE WITH US!

Welcome and curtain up - in just a few weeks, the gates will open for our 13th Uferlos Festival from May 3 - 12, 2024 in the Luitpoldanlage Freising. 10 days, 10 stages, over 100 artists, 70 market stalls, live concerts, workshops, lectures for young and old, for music lovers and the whole family. All with Free admission! You only have to buy tickets for the performance by Dreiviertelblut in the VIMpay circus tent on the last Sunday of the festival.

One of the biggest changes will probably be noticeable behind the scenes: Since 01.01.24 we have been recognized as a non-profit limited company, which now manifests our philosophy and orientation that we have lived for years. Our declared aim is to provide a high-quality musical and cultural offering in Freising that attracts people to the cathedral city not only from Freising, but also from far beyond the district boundaries. Free access for everyone is a matter close to our hearts.

Our music and culture program follows on from previous years: a wide range of local and national bands from pop, rock, jazz, hip hop, folk and world music as well as our Reisemarkt-Kinderlandfull of children's concerts, theater and workshops for our youngest visitors. This year's music focus is on indie & alternative. As always, the details make up the unmistakable, friendly flair of our festival: the many exhibitors from the region at our colorful market of possibilities, the focus on quality and sustainability, our cozy beer gardens, the nostalgic wheat beer carousel and, as always, the sustainability tent, whereFreising companies and institutions present themselves.

SUSTAINABILITY

In addition to having fun while celebrating, it is particularly important to us to think about tomorrow. That's why we have given our festival the motto "Sustainable, fair and happy living". In our sustainability tent, companies and institutions from Freising that are concerned with the topic of sustainability will be presenting themselves. Be inspired by our talks, activities and exhibitions or enjoy a drink at our sustainability bar. The topics include nutrition, regional food, clothing, climate protection and sustainable raw and building materials, solar energy and crafts. This year's focus of our sustainability tent is "Biodiversity - the wonderful diversity of nature".

MARKET OF OPPORTUNITIES

The heart of the festival is our Market of Possibilities. This is where we realize our dream of diversity and sustainability. Between jewelry, clothing, toys and a huge range of accessories and furnishings, specialties from all over the world are waiting to be tasted by visitors. In addition to Turkish, Colombian and Indian specialties, our exhibitors will be serving classics such as burgers, sausages, kebabs, grilled fish and snack plates. Falafel, vegan gyros, crêpes, langos, wraps and tarte flambée from the wood-fired oven round off the culinary offerings. Those with a sweet tooth will get their money's worth with ice cream, chocolate fruits, cakes and grapes.

Free admission - to the Uferlos grounds, to the Market of Opportunities, to all concerts, workshops, lectures as well as to the cabaret, theater and children's program. Tickets are only required for the concert by Dreiviertelblut on May 12.
