Under my gaze / Schwindelfrei Festival

In the organizer's words:

The sun looks down on the earth, it creates and destroys life, it is the driving force of our ecosystems.

The dance piece "Under my Gaze" is a powerful and poetic quartet of three people and an aerial object moved by the wind and the sun. This so-called Aerocene sculpture embodies the forces that surround us. It connects the earthbound dancers with the dynamics of the wind and the radiant power and inescapable influence of the sun.

The audience is connected via headphones to the rhythmic pounding of the dancers and the ethereal flight of the aerial object. Under the open sky in Unterer Luisenpark, they become part of this meditative cosmos and experience a wild yet delicate interplay of power and form, of man and nature.

Renae Shadler is a Berlin-based choreographer, performer and researcher who creates works with various human and non-human bodies that are not normally seen on stage.
