Unterwegs mit Kira Koralle – Lesen. Staunen. Anpacken!

On World Oceans Day, June 8, 2025, the Aquazoo Löbbecke Museum, together with Blockblocks Cleanup and children's book author Alina Gries, invites you to a varied workshop on the protection of the oceans. Together with Alina Gries and environmentalist Victoria Blocksdorf, children between the ages of 5 and 10 and their parents will experience an exciting mix of reading, guided tour and cleanup.

The workshop starts at 10 am at the Aquazoo and ends at around 12:30 pm.

In her reading, Alina Gries takes you on an adventurous journey: The coral Kira wants to become the most colorful in the ocean - for this she needs the help of a tiny algae. On her quest, she encounters turtles, jellyfish and sharks - but what does such an algae look like? Real underwater footage and interactive elements bring the story to life and teach visitors about the sensitive marine ecosystem in a fun way.

During the subsequent guided tour, experts from the Aquazoo introduce fascinating animals such as moray eels, rays and seahorses - and explain the role they play in the ocean habitat.

Finally, there is a cleanup! Victoria Blocksdorf shows how easily everyone can do something for marine conservation right here. With her Blockblocks Cleanup initiative, she is committed to clean rivers and oceans - and is now passing this commitment on to little coral friends.

There is only an entrance fee for participation in the workshop.
