Early in her career, UPSAHL released songs that received well-deserved recognition in the Phoenix music scene. A graduate of the Arizona School for the Arts, she unleashed a wave of fan adoration and music industry praise with numerous indie-alternative classics. "Can You Hear Me Now" achieved a palpable viral buzz, followed by the widely praised single "Drugs," which was used in nearly two million TikTok videos and reached #6 on the Viral Chart and #1 on the Trends Chart. UPSAHL first co-wrote the song "Good in Bed" for Dua Lipa's GRAMMY Award-winning blockbuster "Future Nostalgia". Since then, she has written for Madison Beer, Mike Shinoda, Alan Walker, Anne-Marie and Little Mix, among others, and contributed three songs to Renee Rapp's debut EP Everything To Everyone, to name a few.

UPSAHL has released several EPs, including 2020's Young Life Crisis, which was named one of Billboard's 25 Best Pop Albums of the Year. Her debut album Lady Jesus was released in 2021, after which People Magazine called the singer one of the "talented up-and-coming artists making a name for themselves" and Nylon declared her a "musical force to be reckoned with". Following the album's release, UPSAHL embarked on a hugely successful debut headline tour, selling out venues across the US, UK, Europe and Australia. UPSAHL's high-octave performance style has also earned her slots at major festivals including Lollapalooza, Rock en Seine, Reading and Leeds, as well as tour support for artists such as Melanie Martinez, Tove Lo, Fletcher and Yungblud.
