Reading by Antonia Braun and Bernhard Hanuschik
The sculptor Vadim Sidur (1924-1986) experienced the Holodomor in the Ukraine as a child, lost Jewish relatives during the German occupation and was seriously wounded in battle against the German troops at the age of 19. These experiences shaped his work. It was important to him to remember the people who lost their lives through the use of violence.
During the reading, texts by and about Sidur will be read at his sculpture "Den Opfern der Gewalt" (To the victims of violence) in Weinbergstraße.
