Oskar Maria Graf (1894 - 1967) is a Bavarian legend as a stubborn maverick, committed anti-fascist and mighty drinker, known as an anarchic powerhouse, a bustling bachelor and author of juicy peasant stories, but also as a subtle observer of his time, a great novelist and the epitome of the uncompromising individualist.

The Teamtheater traces the life of this uneducated baker's boy from Lake Starnberg, who became a literary figure respected throughout the world, in scenes from his life and works.

The biographical revue takes the audience from the Bavarian provinces, where you are beaten up if you read books in secret, to the artistic circles of Munich, Berlin and New York.

From collaged poems, stories and memories of the author and his contemporaries, a picture of life emerges that has something to say to the present - after all, Graf's themes are highly topical: What to do in politically confused times of global threat? How to act when the masses lose their humanity? How to find a home when the feeling of being uprooted becomes universal?
