Vernissage & Ausstellung "she who remembers - FLINTA und Krieg"

In the organizer's words:

Under the working title "FLINTA and War", an exhibition is being created that focuses on female perspectives on war, conflict and resistance. The starting point is the low visibility of FLINTA people in war-related representations and the lack of presence of their experiences, resilience and artistic voices in public space. Six different works by artists from the fields of photography, visual arts and film about different regions, such as Iran, Armenia, Palestine & Israel and the Congo, will be shown. In addition to the regional themes, there is also an installation on the topic of "Virtual war against women". The exhibition shows works by female artists from the countries in question, by people with a diaspora or migration background and by artists from Germany who deal with the content of these regions. Through artistic, documentary and performative contributions, we want to examine how patriarchal and militaristic structures affect the body, identity and community and at the same time make visible forms of solidarity, care and resistance that are opposed to these structures.
