Vernissage - Becoming Her.

Dear friends of the gallery, dear art enthusiasts,

In the group exhibition "Becoming Her", three distinctive artistic positions meet in a sensitive dialog about identity, self-assertion and the power of memory.

In their works,Lori-Ann Urbanski, Paula Knaps Loos and Laëtitia de Welfes explore the essence of female figures who position themselves beyond traditional role models. Sometimes melancholically broken, sometimes poetically enraptured or ornamentally exaggerated - their works turn the inside out. Intuition and personal biography become not only the subject, but the actual artistic method.

In an interplay of concise gestures, fragile surfaces and deliberate blank spaces, a visual language unfolds that makes the self visible beyond social norms: quiet and powerful at the same time, always with uncompromising aesthetics.
