Perfect Match 1

Anyone who works artistically takes a close look - at their own work and that of others. Maria Wallenstål-Schoenberg invites three colleagues to a joint exhibition. Here, artists meet at eye level, in self-reflection and recognition at the same time.

For them, color and form are autonomous motifs that mean nothing other than themselves. This concrete view unites the four positions, as does their sensitivity to the materiality of the materials used. Paint, canvas, paper and steel themselves become the content. Spatulas, brushes and squeegees leave traces in the paint and change its structure. Torn paper edges create soft lines in the space. Curved steel bands appear sometimes shiny black and sometimes velvety earth-colored. Intellectually reflective and sensual at the same time, the works of art open up our horizons and tell of light, color and space.
