Barbara (Valerie Pachner) and her partner Heli (Robert Stadlober) lead a happy and loving family life with their two children Fini and Thimo. As professional clowns, they don't take life too seriously and know that you can laugh at the things that go wrong. When Barbara loses her family out of nowhere in an accident, her world collapses. The loss makes her doubt being a clown and the meaning of her own life. But Barbara faces up to her fate. Courageously and unconventionally, she finds a way to deal with her grief. Step by step, she realizes that life goes on despite everything, if you only dare to face it anew.

Barbara Pachl-Eberhart's autobiography of the same name was a bestseller in 2010: in it, she describes with great strength and urgency how she managed to face life anew after the tragic death of her family. Now director Adrian Goiginger, who is celebrated for his very personal film work - including a Silver Lola for DER FUCHS - has filmed this moving life story. With sensitivity and a fine feel for his characters, in FOUR MINUS THREE he stages the lively, hopeful story of a woman who does not give up. In an exceptional acting performance, Valerie Pachner (EIN VERBORGENES LEBEN) shines in the leading role of Barbara, supported by Robert Stadlober (FÜHRER UND VERFÜHRER). Stefanie Reinsperger, Hanno Koffler and Ronald Zehrfeld can be seen in the other strong roles. The screenplay was written by Senad Halilbašić
