21 x 21. the RuhrKunstMuseums on the hill

For the first time, over 100 works of modern and contemporary art from the collections of the 21 RuhrKunstMuseen will enter into a dialog with each other in the rooms of Villa Hügel. The unifying and specific features of the individual collections will be highlighted and a panorama of the unique museum landscape in the Ruhr region will unfold. From Witten to Oberhausen, from Duisburg to Hagen, from Bottrop to Herne - that also means: from Paula Modersohn-Becker to Gerhard Richter, from Rosemarie Trockel to Emil Schumacher, from Josef Albers to Ibrahim Mahama.

Anyone wishing to delve even deeper into the collections of the RuhrKunstMuseen can discover more than 400 works at 21×21.de, which are playfully linked with images, texts, animations and films.
