When the record needle clears the grooves of (hopefully minimal) dust, DJ SCOOP, Tom Tellar, and Alexander E. Houser are truly filled with joy. All three DJs are self-proclaimed vinyl fans and today play primarily these musical treasures immortalized on grooved black discs. SCOOP from the All Vinyl collective is shaped by the origins of Munich’s techno and rave scene of the ’90s, bringing genuine old-school energy to the dance floor. He combines this with futuristic electronic sounds that are driving, powerful, and hypnotic.

The legacy of the raving ’90s is also clearly evident in Tom Tellar’s music. The combination of old and new is also one of his trademarks. However, his constant drive to captivate others with his mix also leads him to repeatedly look beyond his own “Tellar boundaries” and leave audiences speechless with surprising twists. DJ number three this night is Alexander E. Houser, a techno enthusiast and founder of All Vinyl. He has made a name for himself with his powerful, groove-oriented vinyl sets that span techno, tech-house, and house. Between 2012 and 2018, Houser was a regular part of the “Sturm und Drang” event series at the Palais, so in a way, he’s returning to his roots.
