Liebeslieder-Walzer op. 52 by Johannes Brahms and other choral works from the Romantic period

The workshop concert of the choir of the Institute of Church Music at HMT Leipzig will perform Liebeslieder-Walzer op. 52 by Johannes Brahms as well as other choral works of the Romantic period under the direction of HMT Leipzig students. Liebeslieder-Walzer is the name of two cycles of songs in waltz and ländler time for four voices and piano by Johannes Brahms (1833-1893). Most of the texts come from the collection by Georg Friedrich Daumer (1800-1875), which consists of free adaptations of international folk poems.
