A look at young filmmaking in Hamburg with graduates and students of the Hamburg Media School.
Inspired by a conversation with friends, a married couple wonders whether they could give their rusty love a new lease of life with substance. In I was busy dreaming about boys, a sexual assault sends Alma into a downward spiral that she can't seem to get out of - until she has to. In Echoes of Juno, we accompany a grieving mother who relives lost future moments with her deceased daughter in an artificial reality and thus loses touch with reality. Julia experiences something we all know at her best friend's party: She gets overlooked. The chokehold is a self-empowering counterbalance to everyday life for a saleswoman in the ring. Home tells of the time after prison and vigilante justice.
Various filmmakers from the program will be guests.
Important: You will receive wireless headphones for the open-air cinema at the start of the screening. These will be issued for a deposit of €20 or an identification document (e.g. ID card, driving license, health insurance card). Please have your deposit and your ticket ready at the box office.
