Film music as the main attraction

The music of Ennio Morricone, Luis Bacalov and Nino Rota is far more than just an acoustic accompaniment to films. Each work is art in its own right, expanding the narrative space, condensing emotions and translating visual images into sound. With the Pietrodarchi string quintet, the listener is immersed in sonic worlds, entering unexpected, timeless places. The music selected by the group pays homage to Italian film music and Astor Piazzolla - music as an expression of beauty, emotion and artistic imagination.

Multi-layered soundscapes

The juxtaposition with European film music creates a fascinating dialog: between North and South, between image and movement, between contemplative inwardness and dramatic gesture. The concert invites you not only to listen to these multi-layered worlds of sound, but to experience them with all your senses - as an emotional journey through memory, imagination and cultural border crossings.

An exceptional musician

Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi's musicality is unique and exudes a power and intensity with which the exceptional musician lives, experiences, suffers and internalizes the music. After completing his studies at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, he began an international concert career that has already taken him all over the world. He has performed at the Colosseum in Rome with Andrea Bocelli and Angela Gheorghiu, for example, and toured Europe with Erwin Schrott and Anna Netrebko.
