"Tremate, tremate, le streghe son tornate" - "Tremble, tremble, the witches are back"

The Mystic Choir Collective was founded to network and increase the visibility of the creative scene.

With collective power, solidarity and, above all, a love of music and art.

PRINCIPESS (Muc): These are the three musicians Maria Moling, Julia Viechtl and Teresa Staffler. Drums, bass and organ. They all sing. The music can be categorized somewhere between feminist kraut, pop and Italo post wave.

The themes: Feminism. Mansplaining as its best. Gender pay gap. PMS. Hormones. Sexism. They are angry. And you can hear that. Without make-up and without shaving. In Italian and German, in a mix of languages, in the European cross-border sense, because they are friends of interculturality and borderlessness.

DISCOVERY ZONE (Ber): Discovery Zone is the experimental pop project of New York and Berlin-based musician and multimedia artist JJ Weihl. Inspired by the ubiquity of advertising and corporate culture as well as the possibilities of cybernetics and neural networks, Discovery Zone dives into an uncanny valley with Quantum Web, blurring the lines between seriousness and irony as well as the boundary between the human and the post-human. Discovery Zone explores a widescreen pop sound peppered with luminous vocal interludes and baroque instrumental flourishes. On stage, it uses a laboratory of instruments and 3D visualizations to explore the universe as a source of information.

THE WITCHES OF WESTEND (Muc): The women's choir from Munich under the direction of Pola Dobler sees itself as a feminist-minded choir with activist ambitions. It is part of the Mystic Choir Collective and is responsible for the curation of Walpurgis Night. The Witches regularly interact with other musicians and artists and are committed to networking and female empowerment in Munich's cultural scene and beyond. The set for Walpurgisnacht was specially arranged and partly newly composed for this performance.
