For the first time, Enrico Hantel brings his book “Why I Decided to Live” to the stage.

This is no traditional reading. It’s an experimental live evening blending performance, conversation, literature, and spontaneous creativity.

At the heart of it all is one question: What does it actually mean to truly live?

His novel tells the story of Melia, in her early 20s, and the question of whether she can ever free herself from the chains of her past. A story about pain, longing, and the attempt to reconnect with one’s own life.

After completing his degree in psychology, Enrico Hantel found his way into the arts through his book. Today, he approaches strangers with a vintage typewriter and spontaneously transforms their stories into art.

This evening, for the first time, he’ll bring both worlds together on stage.

Afterward, we’ll wrap up the evening together with music at KULTUR&GUT.
