Watch This Space | Amy Beach – Komponistin und Frauenrechtlerin

In the organizer's words:

This concert is all about the composer Amy Beach. She made music history during her lifetime: In addition to around 300 works in a wide variety of genres, she was the first American woman to publish a symphony in 1896. Nevertheless, as a woman, she experienced structural discrimination throughout her life. With the founding of the "Association of American Women Composers", she became one of the pioneers of the American women's movement.
