The Tierheim Berlin is once again inviting you to its traditional "Christmas Festival for Animals" this year: on the 2nd Advent, Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 11 am to 4 pm. Visitors can put presents under the Christmas tree for the shelter's pets and of course spend a contemplative Advent Sunday with the whole family. A small Christmas market offers all kinds of lovely things for people and animals: from pet supplies, arts and crafts and stalls with vegan-vegetarian street food, coffee, cakes, waffles and mulled wine to a flea market and book market - bargains are guaranteed! Guided tours of the animal shelter will give you a glimpse behind the scenes, and shelter dogs looking for a home will introduce themselves. There is also a stage program, Christmas stories with the animal welfare youth and bread on a stick by the fire. Admission is free, all proceeds go to the animal shelter.
Please note: Due to the very limited parking spaces, we strongly recommend traveling by public transport. Shuttle buses will be running between Ahrensfelde S-Bahn station and the animal shelter from 11 am to 4:30 pm.
There will also be a shuttle bus from Feuerbachstraße S-Bahn station to the Berlin animal shelter at 11 am. The return journey will be from the animal shelter at 3 pm. Visitors can register for this Steglitz transfer by telephone on 030 76888-101 or online via Eventbrite (via www.tierschutz-berlin.de).
We look forward to your visit!
