Johann Sigismund Kusser, the composer of this year's winter opera in Schwetzingen, integrated various musical influences into his works, which he encountered in the course of his musical life at various European music centers such as Stuttgart, Versailles and London, and thus developed an early international musical language. These influences are also reflected in the Christmas concert with a rich program that combines well-known composers such as Jean-Philippe Rameau (France), Georg Philipp Telemann (Germany) and Antonio Vivaldi (Italy) with newly discovered artists.
