The city of Leipzig welcomes wine lovers and wine enthusiasts to the 7th edition of the wine fair at Werk2 from March 1 to 3, 2024. This event, part of the WeinEvent series held throughout Germany since 1989, has firmly established itself as a meeting place for connoisseurs and discoverers of fine wines. The Leipzig Wine Fair promises a feast for the palate and an enriching experience for all those who want to cultivate and deepen their love of wine.

About the WeinMessen series:

The WeinMesse, organized by das Team Agentur für Marketing GmbH (www.dasteam.de), enables direct exchange between wine producers and visitors, tasting wines from different winemakers and purchasing favourite wines directly on site. By enabling direct purchase from the producer and thus supporting short delivery routes, it is in the spirit of sustainability. This strengthens the regional wine industry and promotes sustainable consumer behavior.

Diverse range:

This year, visitors can expect 27 wine plus 4 culinary exhibitors. The selection includes hundreds of wines and sparkling wines, from young vintages to mature treasures, and offers a platform to discover and enjoy the diversity of German wine culture.

Special highlights:

- Event tip on Friday 6 p.m.: Riedel wine glass tasting. The right glass makes all the difference when enjoying wine. Discover the subtleties in the aroma, taste and overall experience of a wine.

- Event tip on Saturday 16.00 + 18.00: Insects & wine tasting with the well-known insect chef Frank Ochmann. Discover a new and exciting wine companion: nutty, crunchy, rich in protein, delicious. > Both events can be booked online via die-weinmesse.com/tickets (10€, limited number).

- The Palatinate wine princess Charlotte Weihl, the Rhine-Hesse wine princess Lena Göth and the Moselle wine princess Franziska Fritzen will enrich the fair on all days. At the information stand, they will share their knowledge in guided wine tastings and accompany visitors expertly through the fair.

Culinary additions:

Culinary delights will be provided by the Almburschen and Lindenberg cheese specialties with diverse snacks. Products from Amorella Kirsch-Manufaktur and cocoa confectionery from Goufrais can also be sampled.
