Weltkinderfest in Aachen

The AC Nord Children & Family Working Group is a network of more than 20 institutions in northern Aachen that are committed to addressing the needs of the many children and families in the neighborhood.

Representatives from seven daycare centers, several schools, the Child Protection Association, the Depot neighborhood library, the Aachen Music School, several family education centers, and social institutions meet regularly to discuss issues affecting families in the neighborhood and to collaborate on initiatives. The group is committed to democratic values and values the rich diversity that is brought to life through the coexistence of different people and cultures in Aachen Nord. 

A key event organized by the working group is the celebration of World Children’s Day. This year, once again, the large, colorful World Children’s Day festival will take place on September 22 from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m. at the Children’s Rights Square at the Depot, Talstraße 2, featuring many activities and booths for both participation and spectating.
