Once upon a time, the Tenenbaums' children were blessed with luck and talent. Chas was a business genius, Richie an idolized tennis prodigy and adopted daughter Margot wrote award-winning screenplays. But when her parents Royal and Etheline divorced, their world collapsed.
Now, after years of silence, Royal returns to his family. He has terminal cancer, he claims - says he only has six weeks to live. Is this true or just a ploy to sneak back into the family circle?
More importantly, will his illness unite the family and heal old wounds, or will long-buried conflicts resurface?
