WHAT DO YOU HAVE AT HOME?

In the organizer's words:

Audiovisual performance by minimum_duo and Ingret

For more than two years, Ukrainians have been facing increasingly difficult questions: What does the war mean for them? What is it like to be a refugee? Will they ever return home? And: Can art influence the course of the war?
In their audiovisual performance, the minimum-duo, consisting of video artist Olena Avdieieva and sound designer Serzh Avdeev, attempt to find answers to these questions. They are accompanied by singer Ingret, whose music oscillates between indie pop, trip-hop and ethno-folk. Together, the artists combine contemporary lyrical texts by Ukrainian poets and video collages with live vocals, electronic sounds and piano music - framed by an experimental scenography.

Authors: Serhiy Zhadan, Galina Kruk, Oleg Kadanov, Ingret Kostenko

Ingret is a Ukrainian singer who moves musically between different genres: in addition to indie pop and trip-hop, her songs contain elements of ethnic folk. She rose to fame in her home country as a super finalist on the show "The Voice of Ukraine" in 2017. She took part in the preliminary round of this year's Eurovision Song Contest with her song "Keeper".

minimum_duo is an audiovisual duo consisting of Alena Ovramenko and Serzh Avdey. Their performances are a symbiosis of live animation, electronic music, light and live looping. On stage, they experiment with various objects and digital technologies, making each performance different in its presentation, scenography and musical style. Thematically, the performances create an awareness of the connection between events, their causes and consequences.

A production by minimum_duo, supported by Schaubühne Lindenfels as part of "Theatre Dramaturhiv - Theater im Exil". The project was funded by the European Cultural Foundation as part of the Culture of Solidarity Fund, by the Fonds Darstellende Künste as part of Neustart Kultur: #TakeHeart and as part of the program "Verbindungen fördern" of the Bundeverband Freie Darstellende Künste, funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, realized by the Bündnis internationaler Produktionshäuser, the Netzwerk freier Theater and by the flausen+bundesnetzwerk.

An event as part of the flausen+fest der freien künste.
