Have you always wanted to try tufting without booking a 4-hour course?
Then come to our open studio in Munich. You can get creative in a relaxed atmosphere, discover the DIY trend of tufting and create your first small project. Even if you have already taken part in a course, you can simply come and create your own project.

Whether alone, with friends or colleagues - you can simply drop by spontaneously or reserve a place in advance.

How does the open studio work?

At What the Tuft, you choose which project you would like to create in a relaxed atmosphere. You decide what inspires you - whether it's a small gift, a personal home accessory or simply something you enjoy. You can pay for your chosen project directly in the studio, without any complications.

You can simply drop by at any time between 6 pm and 8 pm. Or you can reserve a place for free at: What the Tuft?!

Possible tufting projects

The tufting projects available are ideal for getting to know the craft. All projects can be completed in a time frame of approx. 2 hours, so you will quickly have a creative result in your hands. You can take some of them home with you straight away, others will be briefly finished by us and you can collect them from the studio later.

• Magnets (4 pieces, each 10 cm in diameter)

• Small mural (20 × 20 cm in a frame)

• Tufted hairband

• Tufted flower pot (Ø 14 cm)

• Jute bag emblem
  We apply the motif to the bag afterwards so that it is durable and washable. Give your bag a personal touch.

• Boho-style cushion with geometric pattern
  Perfect for sofa or armchair. We will sew your motif into a cushion measuring 40 x 40 cm afterwards.

• Seat cushion or mirror (30 × 30 cm)
  Larger project, please allow two time slots for this. Duration approx. 3 hours
