Valeria has a small farm in the Romanian mountains, a cow and a fuzzy dog. But further up in the valley lies the copper mine. Valeria's village was flooded in the 1970s to collect the waste water. Since then, she has endured while the level of the cesspit rises and rises. In large images, the film tells a highly topical story that also has something to do with us: Because the cheap copper that we use on a large scale is responsible for the environmental disaster on Valeria's doorstep.
