As the former First Kapellmeister of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Marie Jacquot is of course well known to Düsseldorf opera fans. Since the 2023/24 season, the French conductor has been Principal Guest Conductor of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and delights audiences with her fresh interpretations as well as the stunningly brilliant sounds she is able to coax from the orchestra. In her Heinersdorff program, Jacquot brings the spirit of her Austrian place of work to the Rhine. The evening begins with a Bruckner arrangement by the orchestra's founder Ferdinand Löwe. Young star Bruce Liu then introduces himself to the Heinersdorff audience with Ludwig van Beethoven's magnificent Third Piano Concerto. Johannes Brahms' G minor Quartet op. 25 - the work with which the young Hamburg composer took the Viennese music world by storm in 1862 - will conclude the concert with Hungarian fire.
