wilt

wilt is an up-and-coming alternative and indie rock band from Los Angeles that has achieved its success in a very short space of time in a hard-working DIY manner. Without a major label behind them, the band quickly gained a large audience via TikTok and Instagram as well as various live performances and secured their position as a bright star in the alternative rock sky. The debut single "gwen" from 2022 helped wilt achieve their first big breakthrough. The song is still one of the most successful in their discography to date.

Chelsea Rifkin (vocals), Aaron Liebman (guitar), Andrew Perrea (guitar) and Dan Bermudez (drums) chose their name inspired by the Hole song "Celebrity Skin". A band that is one of wilt's musical influences alongside Weezer, Radiohead and Mannequin Pussy. Between elements of alternative rock, grunge, indie and sometimes shoegaze, it is above all the unique voice of singer Rifkin that is highlighted by many top-class media as the band's unique selling point and often draws comparisons with Paramore singer Hayley Williams. In addition to various single releases, the self-titled EP "wilt" followed in 2024, on which the band indulges in predominantly dark emotional worlds, but not without creating moments of lightness. These create a very special energy of familiarity live, which the long-time friends effortlessly transfer from the stage to the audience.

With various support shows for Taylor Acorn, The Warning, Destroy Boys or Lovejoy, among others, as well as a sold-out US tour, wilt have already gained a lot of live experience, where Chelsea Rifkin's energetic stage presence is always emphasized. In November, wilt will bring their brilliant live shows to Europe and present their new single "nothing good to cry about", among other things. For three dates, wilt will be coming to Germany together with the UK band thistle. as special guests to play concerts in Cologne, Hamburg and Berlin.
