Winterzauber Kassel

Around 100 exhibitors in illuminated pagoda tents await visitors in front of the magnificent Orangery in Kassel. In the twilight of the approaching winter, you can sweeten the anticipation of the Advent season with a romantic stroll in a glamorous setting. Winter time is decoration time and the right time to do something good for yourself. Visitors can find inspiration in a relaxed atmosphere. Lanterns, stars, home-made candles and, of course, beautiful Advent arrangements - the choice is huge. But the focus is not only on home-made items and winter floristry. Unique Christmas cards, handicrafts, finely crafted nativity figures and Christmas elves round off the pre-Christmas offerings.

In addition to the decorative delights, Winterzauber also offers a varied and entertaining supporting program and, as night falls, a wonderfully atmospheric illumination against the unique backdrop of the castle.

The Winter Magic is also a highlight for connoisseurs. The scent of gingerbread will waft towards visitors from afar. As always, the culinary offerings in front of the castle are tempting. The finest almond nougat, wintery stollen and - almost obligatory at this time of year - hot chestnuts and roasted almonds set the mood for the winter season. There will also be plenty of hearty delights. Visitors can already look forward to winter tarte flambée, hot soups and Finnish flamed salmon with fire tongs punch from the copper kettle. Or those who like it extra special can enjoy a hot cinnamon cocktail with their friends.
