Rose Ausländer - Jew, poet, nomad of the 20th century. Two world wars, the Great Depression, the Shoah and exile forced her to wander. She found family support in the old and the new world. Her biographical poetry takes us to all the places where she fled and lived. As a prelude to the "125th anniversary year of Rose Ausländer", Helmut Braun presents the family history of the author, who was born in Czernowitz/Tscherniwzi in 1901. Helmut Braun accompanied Rose Ausländer from 1975 until her death in early 1988. He published her complete works with S. Fischer Verlag and Fischer Taschenbuchverlag, was appointed administrator of her estate by Rose Ausländer in her will, wrote a biography of Rose Ausländer and heads the Rose Ausländer-Gesellschaft e.V. in Düsseldorf.
