Lecture by Prof. Dr. Nils Moosdorf
Groundwater provides us with a reliable supply of drinking water and is also the silent basis of life for rivers, moors and other ecosystems - including in northern Germany and Bremen. The lecture shows how our groundwater has changed in recent years, what climate change has to do with it and what developments can be expected in the future. Finally, the focus will be on small islands in the tropics, where groundwater is often the only source of freshwater and where the opportunities, limits and possibilities for protecting this resource are particularly evident.
This lecture will take place as a face-to-face event.
