Wissen vom Fass

This year, "Wissen vom Fass" will once again bring researchers from all disciplines to Hamburg's bars and pubs. On June 12, 2025, starting at 8 p.m., curious people will gain insights into the world of science in entertaining lectures - and can get into conversation with the speakers over a drink. DESY and the University of Hamburg will be hosting more than 40 bars this time. Far away from laboratories and lecture halls, the researchers will address questions such as: Is Hamburg the tree capital? Are we bathing in dark matter? How does the physics of life work? Different language - different identity? And how do you trick artificial intelligence with mathematics?
