The Ukrainian choir “WOLJA” is far more than just a choir; it is a symbolic center of Ukrainian culture in the diaspora. The choir was founded as a cultural initiative immediately after the outbreak of the full-scale war in Ukraine. Through music, the group brings people together in difficult times, serves as an important social hub, and makes an extraordinary contribution to cultural life in Dresden and to international understanding. Its remarkable successes in national and international competitions underscore the ensemble’s high artistic quality and profound emotional expressiveness.
