Workshop: DANCE & VOICE DISTORTION

Danilo Andrés’ workshop “DANCE & VOICE DISTORTION” invites participants to explore movement and voice as a shared creative medium of expression. As part of the exhibition “after the last ready-made,” the workshop combines meditative movement sessions with an introduction to vocal techniques such as growling and voice distortion. The experience is complemented by dynamic breathing exercises that support and deepen the work with the voice.

Throughout the workshop, participants are invited to develop their own mantras, vocal incantations, and forms of physical expression that set the dancing body in motion and expand its possibilities. The workshop is particularly aimed at dancers, musicians, performers, and other artists who are interested in experimenting with voice, body, and presence.

“after the last ready-made” is part of the community festival “Synergies of Solidarity” organized by Queer Art Spaces Vienna. The exhibition brings together queer artistic practices that engage with textiles, clothing, and materiality, raising questions about identity, the body, consumption, and self-presentation. The focus is on examining predefined role models, standardized consumer worlds, and the possibility of subverting them through communal, queer, and artistic practices.
