Workshop: Die Grenze des Sagbaren

Where? Infocafé AStA Uni Hamburg (Von-Melle-Park 5).

By observing the visual language of right-wing actors, it becomes clear how they take up elements from pop culture, symbolism and language, reinterpret them and smuggle them into the social mainstream. In this way, the boundaries of what can be said are pushed and extremist content is made more connectable.

The aim of the workshop is to clarify and discuss political terms together. Working in groups, several political maps will be created that show how differently visual codes on Tiktok & Co. are perceived and interpreted. This makes it all the more important to clarify these mechanisms. The workshop is intended to enable participants to recognize and question the visual strategies of right-wing actors and to take away their power.
