Linoleum Printmaking Workshop with Dino

Discover the world of linocut and create your own print.

In this three-hour workshop, you’ll learn the basics of linoleum printmaking—from the initial idea to carving the plate and creating the finished print. Together, we’ll familiarize ourselves with the methods and tools and explore the possibilities of this technique. There will also be plenty of room to try things out and experiment. It’s not about working perfectly, but about finding your own way of working with the material.

No prior experience is necessary—all skill levels are welcome! All materials are included. At the end, you’ll take home your carved plate, the prints you’ve made, and your own linoleum printmaking kit. 

The workshop will be led by Dino (@pokingdinosaur), a freelance artist and printmaker. He’s been working with linoleum printing for over five years and regularly sells his prints at various creative markets.

The workshop is hosted by Clarissa (@lumiscla). In addition to her own creative business—which features graphically enhanced vintage plates—she has opened her own shop in Hamburg’s Gängeviertel. At CUTE (@cute.hamburg), a wide variety of creative artists sell their work in a shop lovingly curated by Clarissa, which blurs the lines between art and commerce. The workshop will take place at this shop in Hamburg’s Gängeviertel (Caffamacherreihe 47).

3 hours – maximum of 6 participants – all materials included 

Pricing

There are three price tiers from which you can choose:

Solidarity Price: 40€

Covers mainly the cost of materials and allows participation at the lowest possible price.

Basic Price: 60€

This covers the cost of materials, the venue, and the workshop leader’s time and expertise.

Artist Support: starting at 80€

This supports Dino’s artistic work, makes the solidarity price possible, and helps shape future workshops and projects.

The price you choose will not be questioned and does not need to be justified. Payment is due on-site on the day of the workshop.

Registration

Since there are only 6 spots available, advance registration is required. If you’d like to participate, please email me at 123lippert@gmail.com with your full name and the date of the workshop. I’ll then confirm your spot.

Registration is binding, as each spot is reserved for you. If you are unable to attend after all, please cancel at least 24 hours before the workshop begins. This allows us to offer the spot to someone on the waiting list, if necessary.

If all spots are already filled, you’re welcome to be added to the waitlist.
