Workshop "Mitsingen, Mitmusizieren" mit Olga Voichenko

In the organizer's words:

At the coffee and art stage "Die Palette" in Bad Cannstatt, we organize a monthly workshop that combines music, language and culture in a special way. Every month we invite a musician to present a traditional song from their home country - in the original language.

Whether you know the language or not, you can always sing along! And if you play an instrument, you can learn the piece and accompany it with us. The workshop thrives on the joy of making music together, on exchange and curiosity about new sounds and languages.

This time with Olga Voichenko:

Olga Voichenko is a Ukrainian jazz singer and associate professor of jazz and pop singing. Born in the Donetsk region, she graduated from the Donetsk State Academy of Music with Valery Kolesnikov.

Her discography includes the albums Tenderly (1999), Magic Dreams (2006) and Spivanochky Moi (2013). She taught singing in Donetsk and Kiev. She has lived in Germany since 2022. Olga Voichenko is interested in jazz, but also in the folk songs of her Ukrainian homeland - a connection that is reflected in her project Dialogues (2025). The project was created in collaboration with German jazz musicians and is available on platforms such as Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music and Amazon Music.
