What does it actually mean to take care of something living, like a sourdough starter? In this workshop, we will explore together what bread means to us: as an everyday food, as a craft, as part of memories, as culture and as care. Bread culture exists in various forms all over the world and has brought people together for centuries.

Together we create a space for exchange, questions and tasting. It's about more than baking: it's about the relationship with food, passing on knowledge and how community can grow from water, flour and salt. You will learn how to care for a sourdough, get your own starter to take home and perhaps start a new bread baking routine. We will end the workshop together with sourdough bread, bread stories and music over a delicious snack.

The workshop will be held by the ferment.ors collective. Monja Simon and Toni Wagner will accompany you and share their knowledge about sourdough and bread baking.

The workshop is designed for a maximum of 20 people. Please bring an empty, large screw-top jar for your own sourdough starter.
