Memories of summer vacations stay with us for a long time, sometimes even for years. Photos of those unforgettable days are nice to look at, but imagine if you could paint a unique watercolor while on vacation and write your memories and feelings next to it. In this workshop we will paint together a typical coastal landscape with watercolors to capture the colors of the sea and the sun together with our conversations and memories of the day. Nima is an architect and watercolor painter who has captured his own memories of people, places and travels in his sketchbooks. He will demonstrate his painting style live to show you how to work freely and loosely with watercolors and then you can enjoy creating your own unique watercolor.

In this workshop we will discuss the following points:

- Suitable brushes and sketchbooks for watercolor painting

- Rule of thirds and dynamic composition

- Painting freely and loosely with watercolors

- Simplifying and painting a complicated coastal landscape

- Painting large shapes and no details

- Creating depth in the artwork

Basic painting materials such as paper, watercolors and brushes are included in this workshop, but you are welcome to bring your favorite paints and watercolors. This is an indoor workshop where we will use a reference photo to paint from. This workshop is aimed at adults. School children can participate if accompanied by their parents.
