Posters and flyers from events long past, envelopes and strange forms that were never filled out - if you look closely, you will find paper remnants everywhere. In this workshop, we don't want to recycle this paper by turning it into new raw material, but we want to creatively process the leftovers so that they are given a new, different life. We will sort, cut and rearrange the found objects to turn them into individual and artistic notebooks and picture books that bear the signature of the individual participants. The aim is not only to test their own manual skills - these material assemblages also train their eye for composition and aesthetics. The feel, shape and formats of the materials are examined and their possibilities for creative upcycling are explored. How can something completely new be created that benefits from the textures and font fragments of the papers? A ring binder that is guaranteed to be unique. A positive side effect: our awareness of the value of the resources around us is heightened. Where can waste from printed products be avoided and what designs are still possible with waste paper?
