Worthunger - Poetry Slam

In the organizer's words:

Do you love language, emotions and creative performance? Then our poetry slam is the right place for you. On this evening, the café becomes a stage for self-written texts, strong voices and real feelings.

WHAT IS A POETRY SLAM?

A poetry slam is a literary competition in which authors present their own texts live in front of an audience. Whether funny, thought-provoking, political or personal - everything is allowed as long as the text is self-written.

THIS IS HOW THE EVENING WORKS:

  • A total of 5 fixed participants will compete against each other.
  • There is also an open spontaneous slot: if you dare, you can register on site and take to the stage yourself.
  • Each contribution may last a maximum of 7 minutes.
  • The slam consists of two rounds: In the preliminary round, everyone competes against each other - the audience decides which 3 people will progress. In the final round, the best 3 poets compete against each other with another text.

DISCLAIMER

Our poetry slam stands for openness, respect and diversity. There is no room for fascism, racism, sexism, queerophobia or other forms of discrimination. We expect all participants to treat each other with respect - on and off stage.
