In the run-up to Christmas, a new spot pops up in the middle of Munich that you've definitely never seen before: The X Gallery. A temporary art space that brings local art to the city center from 9 to 23 December - fresh, approachable and completely free of museum vibes.

Here you will find selected works by Munich artists: Prints, illustrations, paintings, mixed media and much more. Everything curated, everything regional - and everything within a price range that offers art for every budget (€50-500). Perfect if you're looking for a special gift. Or if you want to treat yourself.

The "X" stands for the point on the treasure map - where you discover something that really speaks to you. This is exactly the feeling the gallery is meant to evoke: You walk in, look around and suddenly find your piece. A work that hits you, inspires you, surprises you.

The X Gallery is a joint project of Münchner Kultur GmbH under the direction of David Boppert, together with Munich Art, the WOW Museum and the participating Munich artists, who characterize the exhibition with their different styles. The gallery will be opened by Dr. Christian Scharpf, the City of Munich's Economic Affairs Officer - a strong signal for the importance of regional art and creative spaces in the city center.
