yara - deutschsprachiger Indie-Rock in Regensburg

In the organizer's words:

The Mannheim/Heidelberg indie rock band yara is coming to Munich in April. yara is one of those bands that is even better live. Their music is about life, smoking and all the worlds in between.

yara are still getting to know themselves. They don't even want to know what they are really about. They experiment with NDW borrowings and polka influences, always anchored in energetic indie rock and the feeling that anything is possible right now.

The band members found each other somewhat by chance and realized early on that there was something right between them. Together they talk about cigarettes in togetherness, champagne from the ashtray and the search for the big, the immediate. For singer Jakob, there is only the extreme, he likes to throw away the small happiness of everyday life, always in search of the absolute. With his band, he translates this search unpretentiously into easy-to-understand, uncomplicated indie rock, always flirting with pop melodies.
