In the organizer's words:

Together with the "Aufwind" choir, we want to start the new year 2026 with verve, emotion and a large portion of confidence and present you with an inspiring concert program full of energy and musical radiance.

Especially at the beginning of the year, when new plans are made and good resolutions are set, we need confidence, trust, hope, inner strength - and sometimes a little musical updraft. Songs of trust, faith and strength, gospel rhythms and modern spiritual songs invite us to lift our spirits and enter the new year with renewed strength.

The "Aufwind" choir has its roots in the Düsseldorf district of Knittkuhl, where it was founded in 1990 as a small Catholic singing group for rhythmic church music. Today it has been at home in the Herz Jesu church in Ratingen for over 30 years. There, the group has developed into a lively choir with a diverse repertoire of new sacred songs, gospel and English Christmas carols. Since 2018, the choir has been under the direction of pianist and choirmaster Feliks Sokol from Kharkiv, who has given the ensemble new musical finesse and fresh impetus. The New Year's concert will be accompanied by violinist Oleksii Hrebeniuk from Kharkiv.

Following the choir concert, there will be a small drink to celebrate the New Year.
