Johann Christian Bach's music belongs to the avant-garde of his time. A wealth of tonal colors and gallant melodies unite in a free musical flow. The composer combines the stylistic elements of baroque and classical music. The story tells of a political conflict in which Zanaida is caught up: as the king's daughter, she travels to the neighboring kingdom to stand up for a new era together with the ruler Tamasse. She must prove herself in a game of life and death, as she is confronted by a powerful antagonist.
